Spotify, streaming our favourite tunes using the technology

Definition - What does Spotify mean?

Spotify is a new digital music service that enables users to remotely source millions of different songs on various record labels from a laptop, smartphone or other device. This subscription-based service has been available in some countries since 2008. It can run on a Windows, Macintosh or Linux operating system, and is supported by iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices.

Explaination of  Spotify

One of the main features of Spotify is the ability to share music with others. Spotify users can send music via social media platforms or through email, although some types of music sharing require the recipient to be a Spotify member.

Spotify also addresses the limitations of lack of access to Wi-Fi services through its offline mode provision. Depending on the user’s account type and other factors, Spotify can sync certain amounts of music, in playlists, to a device so that even when the user is disconnected or offline, he or she will be able to hear those selected songs. This and other exclusive features make Spotify a unique service in the very new field of subscription-based digital music hosting.

Using the audio streaming mode we we able to play our favourite songs that we could bop along to on our road trip.  This was an easy process once we had the unit in the car and our mobile phones connected.  The unit in the car makes it easy to set up and once done you too can you ride along on your journey listening to your favourite road trip music. Even is you have never used Bluetooth technology please do not fear it in the Hyundai i30 Premium model.  You will have no trouble hooking up.

The instructions are basic as follows.

Activation the audio streaming mode
  • Connect the unit and your phone before activating the audio streaming mode
  • Press MEDIA repeatedly until "BT" appears on the screen
  • To pause playback press the play/pause symbol. Touch the play/pause again the resume playback
  • To skip tracks touch the forward/back symbol to select the previous or next track
  • To fast forward/rewind
  • Select and hold down the back arrow to rewind.
  • Select the forward arrow to fast forward

How the technology is practical while on the go

The Bluetooth Technology in the i30 Premium provided us with an easy and SAFE way whilst driving to make and receive call and play our favourite tunes.  We always talk about safety when driving, to reduce accidents especially from people playing with their mobile phones when behind the wheel.
The Bluetooth Technology in the Hyundai i30 Premium has obviously been well thought out and researched to ensure for easy use, safe use and use for enjoyment without the risks of taking your eyes off the road.
Not having Bluetooth Technology in my own vehicle I now know the benefits of its use and will certainly ensure that any vehicle ( and yes after my/our experience a Hyundai is what I/we will be looking at first) I may get in the future definitely is one that has this wonderful technology.

Our Spotify top ten playlist

https://www.facebook.com/music/playlist/Drive-Brilliant-Playlist/375463249212699

With the Spotify Application on my phone I was able to stream the playlist using the BlueTooth Technology in the Hyundai i30 Premium.
Our first play list for the trip was made up of primarily good old rock and roll music.  I and my road crew were between the ages of 50 and 60 thus many of the younger generations music just did not suit us.
You will also see that the majority of the music is from our good old Australian Artist with a few overseas artist mixed in.  As we all knew the songs included we all had a good old sing along, as we traveled on our Hyundai Brilliant Drive Road Trip.  In some cases we had a good old laugh especially with Eligiuz (Alex) singing along the best he could - we told him not to give up his day job.  Not that any of us are great singers, Eligiuz (Alex) certainly kept us entertained.
